Support

Great, so now I can get some mobile browsers to read my style sheets. Now what? What kind of support are these browsers going to give me for CSS?
For a good overview of mobile browser support for CSS, I must defer to Koch's site Quirksmode.org. It is both exhaustive in its research and compact in its presentation of findings (although sometimes you have to really dig through the site to find the particular page you want).
- CSS selectors
- General mobile compatibility issues
- Various topics in mobile development (scroll down a ways to find another helpful compatibility table that includes media queries)
- General CSS reference for WebKit-based browsers
- "User Experience" Tips for iPhone (including viewport issues)
- "Graphics, Media, and Visual Effects" Tips for iPhone (including CSS animations)
- Web specs (including Mobile and Mini support for various CSS properties)
- Guide to how Opera browsing works
- Opera Mini 6 simulator
- Opera Mobile emulator
- Most of this site is geared towards app development, although there is a little about web best practices (nothing exciting in there, though)
- Clearly I will need to find some unofficial sources of information for android browser web development, so if anyone stumbles across a good source, let me know...
- Mobile FAQs (pretty generic info)
